Self explanatory, not in the mood to be all theatrical about it so who's got suggestions.

Something new?
Something old?
Whatever, just suggest something already dumbass!

In a general direction ,I feel something short and light would be a good way to get started. We can't be starting off with two and a half hour epics like Shawshank Redemption or Dawn of the Dead.

I assumed this was supposed to be an anime watchalong but honestly anything works! Maybe some sort of 6-episode miniseries? I really need to check out some older OVAs, a watchalong might be a good opportunity for that.

The reality is I forgot what subforum I was in. My reality is there's Shawshank and Dawn anime. 80s or 90s OVA does seem like a good place to start!

I say that, but Read Or Die is only 3 episodes and from the 00s, and works perfectly standalone from the later TV series.

I haven't heard of this before, but seems like a good start if other's are interested too

Never seen read or die either, so wouldn't be opposed to that!

I've seen Read or Die but it's been a while and I'd be down to see it again! That sounds like it'd be a good first watchalong. When and how would we want to do it?

I'd say sundays would be the best for me considering my work schedule, but also uh, there's survivor on that day unless you want to take a week off for a three ep OVA.

I work Sundays so it'd have to be midday or late night (pretend I picked out the perfect emoticon here I'm working on it)

Seeing as it's been over a week since we touched this, I'm gonna propose Saturdays if Sunday noon-ish doesn't work for people

The other option we have is that instead of a proper groupwatch it's just a book club type of thing, where we all watch an episode on our own by a certain date to talk about it later.

If we want to try to watch it together I'm down for that too, but I don't think I'd be able to run it if that's the case.

That sounds like a plan to me
